Caesars bonus bets: how they work, Bet Reset, and how to convert them
In short: A Caesars Bonus Bet pays only its winnings — the stake is not returned — and must be used in one piece. Its house rules give it 7 days unless the offer says otherwise. Place it at plus money and hedge the other side with cash at another book to keep roughly two-thirds of it.
Caesars's rules checked against its own help and terms pages on October 14, 2026 (sources at the bottom of this page). Offers and terms change, so read the offer in the app before you bet. 21+ only, and only where Caesars is licensed.
How a Caesars Bonus Bet pays
Caesars' house rules define a Bonus Bet as a promotional, non-cashable bonus, and state that the Bonus Bet stake is not included in any winnings. Its own example: a $10 Bonus Bet at −110 pays $9, not $19. So the only value in the token is the profit it can produce, which is why it belongs on plus-money odds rather than on a favourite.
The token itself has no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash or account credit. Its support pages say a Bonus Bet may be usable on all markets or limited to a specific sport, game or bet type, so the limits printed on your token are the ones that apply.
Expiry, splitting and minimum odds
- Expiry: the house rules say Bonus Bets are valid for 7 days unless the bonus's details say otherwise. Some offers set a longer window — the Bet Reset offer's terms give its Bonus Bets 14 calendar days — so read the date on the token, not a rule of thumb.
- No splitting: a Caesars Bonus Bet cannot be partially redeemed. A $50 token goes on one bet as $50, so pick the single best-priced market rather than spreading it.
- Minimum odds: Caesars says Bonus Bets may have minimum odds criteria, set per offer. There is no single house number.
- Bet types: a Bonus Bet cannot be used on wagers that split it between several results, such as round robins and full covers.
- Pushes and voids: the house rules say Bonus Bet wagers that are cancelled, voided or graded a tie do not automatically get the Bonus Bet back. Moneylines and half-point lines avoid the tie.
Bet Reset: Caesars' version of a no sweat bet
Caesars' current welcome offer is built on Bet Reset tokens. Under its terms, if the qualifying wager with a Bet Reset token attached loses, Caesars issues a one-time Bonus Bet token for the stake, up to the cap stated in the offer. That refund is an ordinary Bonus Bet: stake not returned, one-time use, 14 days to use it under that offer.
The terms exclude some qualifying wagers: bets settled by CashOut, bets placed with a Profit Boost or Bonus Bet token, and odds shorter than −1000. Size a Bet Reset hedge assuming the refund is worth about 65–70% of its face value once converted, as the no sweat bet guide shows.
Caesars Profit Boosts
A Caesars Profit Boost increases the net winnings of a bet by a stated percentage, comes with a maximum bet, and can apply to straight bets and parlays. Caesars says the extra winnings are paid in cash, not Bonus Bets. You cannot put a Profit Boost token on top of a Bonus Bet, so use them on separate cash bets.
What Caesars' terms say about betting both sides
The Bet Reset offer's terms list "wagering on both sides of a line on an individual game" among prohibited activities, with promotions, winnings or both at risk. The clause does not say whether it covers a bet placed at another sportsbook, so read the offer's terms before you hedge one of its bonuses — and never bet both sides at Caesars itself.
Worked example: converting a $50.00 Caesars Bonus Bet
Bonus Bet: $50.00 on Team A at +350 (decimal 4.50) at Caesars. If it wins it pays $175.00; the $50.00 stake is not returned.
Hedge: Team B at −420 (decimal 1.2381), with cash, at a different sportsbook.
Hedge stake = $175.00 ÷ 1.2381 = $141.35.
If Team A wins: $175.00 − $141.35 = $33.65.
If Team B wins: the hedge returns $175.00, a profit of $33.65.
You keep about $33.65 of the $50.00 Bonus Bet either way — a 67.3% conversion, an estimate that holds only if both bets are accepted at these prices.
Illustrative prices, not a current offer or a live market. Real prices move, so recompute with the hedge calculator before you place either bet. The figures come from the same formula the free calculator runs.
Converting a Caesars bonus bet, step by step
- 1
Open the Bonus Bet in your Caesars account
Caesars Bonus Bets sit in your account as tokens you attach on the bet slip. Note the expiry, any minimum odds, and any sport or bet-type limits shown on the token or in the offer's terms.
- 2
Find a plus-money price at Caesars
Look for one side of a two-way market at roughly +250 to +500 at Caesars, inside the token's rules. Main-line moneylines, spreads and totals in major leagues usually price tightest on the other side.
- 3
Find the best price on the other side elsewhere
At a different sportsbook you hold cash at, find the opposite outcome at the best price available. This price decides most of what you keep.
- 4
Size the hedge
Hedge stake = the bonus bet's winnings ÷ the hedge's decimal odds. The free hedge calculator does this for you.
- 5
Place both bets and check the slips
Place the Bonus Bet at Caesars, confirm it was accepted at your price, then place the hedge straight away. Recompute if either price moved.
- 6
Record the pair as one position
Log both bets and the amount you kept, so you know what each book's bonus bets are actually worth to you.
Mistakes that cost money at Caesars
- Putting a Bonus Bet on a favourite. At −110 a $10 token pays $9; at +350 it pays $35.
- Waiting on a big game and letting the 7-day window close — the token is worth nothing after it.
- Planning to split a token across several bets. Caesars Bonus Bets go on one wager in full.
- Using the token on a round robin or another bet type that splits it between results.
- Using a Bonus Bet on a line that can push — a tie does not automatically return it.
- Settling a Bet Reset qualifying bet by CashOut, which the offer's terms exclude from the refund.
- Betting both sides at Caesars itself, which the Bet Reset terms prohibit.

Frequently asked questions
Do Caesars bonus bets return the stake?
No. Caesars' house rules say the Bonus Bet stake is not included in any winnings: a $10 Bonus Bet at −110 pays $9, not $19.
When do Caesars bonus bets expire?
After 7 days, unless the bonus's own details say otherwise. Some offers set 14 days, so check the date shown on the token.
Can you split a Caesars bonus bet?
No. A Caesars Bonus Bet cannot be partially redeemed; it goes on one wager for its full amount.
What is a Caesars Bet Reset?
Caesars' refund offer: if the qualifying bet with a Bet Reset token loses, you receive a one-time Bonus Bet token for the stake, up to the offer's cap.
Can you use a profit boost on a Caesars bonus bet?
No. Caesars says a Profit Boost token cannot be applied on top of a Bonus Bet token. Boosted winnings on a cash bet are paid in cash.
How do you convert Caesars bonus bets to cash?
Place the Bonus Bet at plus money at Caesars and hedge the other side with cash at a different book, sized so both results pay about the same. Expect to keep roughly 65–75%, an estimate that depends on prices.
