Best +EV betting tools (2026)

Updated October 19, 2026

The main positive EV (+EV) betting tools are OddsJam, OddsShopper, Outlier and Unabated, with Crazy Ninja Odds as the free option and TrueEdge as a lower-priced all-in-one. They differ mainly in price — from free to $499.99 a month — in how they work out the fair price a bet is measured against, and in whether they cover live betting and prediction markets.

A +EV tool compares every sportsbook's price with a fair price, usually worked out by removing the bookmaker's margin (de-vigging) from the sharpest prices in the market, and lists the bets priced better than fair. Every tool below does that; what you pay for is coverage, speed, and the extras around it.

Every competitor fact in the table was read on that company's own page on the date shown, and linked. TrueEdge is the product this site sells, so it is listed last and its weaknesses are listed too.

Each product in brief

OddsJam

It states the widest coverage here (150+ sportsbooks and exchanges). Its pre-match plan bundles +EV with arbitrage, middles, low hold and a promo converter; live +EV and live arbitrage are a separate, much dearer plan. It also sells Sharp Money and Prediction Traders plans for following volume spikes and top traders.

Best for: High-volume bettors who want the widest coverage and live +EV, and can justify the top-tier price.

OddsShopper

Built around PortfolioEV, a strategy builder: you choose how bets are de-vigged and filtered and test it on historical data, and it says every +EV bet it surfaces is tracked and graded daily. Core is pre-game only; Pro adds in-game EV, the in-game odds screen and in-game arbitrage.

Best for: Bettors who want to design their own +EV rules, and the cheapest paid in-game +EV here.

Outlier

A research app first — trends, injury reports, matchups and line movement — with a +EV feed, arbitrage feed and middles on its Pro plan. The cheaper plans are research only.

Best for: Prop bettors who pick from research and want a +EV feed as a second opinion.

Unabated

A modelling tool more than a bet list: its own fair line, odds screens of the market-making books, props and futures simulators and player projections. No arbitrage finder is listed.

Best for: Bettors who build their own numbers and want a sharp fair line to test them against.

Crazy Ninja Odds

An independent site run by its creator, CrazyNinjaMike, with free +EV, arbitrage, low-hold and free-bet pages and a devig calculator. It lets you choose the method behind every number; it is funded by optional supporters, and its own page says its live odds lag.

Best for: Bettors who want to learn +EV, or check a price, without paying anything.

TrueEdge

+EV, arbitrage, middles, low hold, a promo optimizer, a hedge finder and a bet tracker that scores every bet against the closing line, in one $79.99 plan. Exchange and prediction-market prices are shown net of each venue's fees.

Best for: US bettors who want +EV, arbitrage and promo conversion in one plan for less than OddsJam's pre-match plan.

How to choose

  • Start from your bankroll. A subscription is a fixed cost; if your monthly stakes are small, a free tool or a cheaper plan keeps more of the edge.
  • Decide whether you need live betting. In-play +EV costs more than pre-game at every paid tool that sells both: $149.95 at OddsShopper, $299.99 at TrueEdge, $499.99 at OddsJam.
  • Check the books you can actually bet. A tool's coverage only matters for the sportsbooks legal in your state and open to you.
  • Look at how fair value is set. Tools that let you choose the de-vig method and the sharp books (OddsShopper, Crazy Ninja Odds, TrueEdge Live) suit bettors who want control; a fixed method is simpler.
  • If you trade on Kalshi, Polymarket, Novig or ProphetX, pick a tool that prices those venues and includes their fees — a fee can turn a small edge negative.
  • Use the free trial on a busy day of games, and track every bet's closing line value: beating the close is the evidence that the edges are real.

Where TrueEdge falls short

  • US only: it covers US-licensed sportsbooks and exchanges, plus the sharp offshore books used for fair value.
  • Fewer books and props than the largest competitors — 25 books and exchanges against OddsJam's stated 150+.
  • In-play prices, the full odds board, sharp and regional books, automatic bet syncing and the choice of de-vig method need TrueEdge Live.
  • TrueEdge is new, with a small team: no long track record, no large community and no round-the-clock chat.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best +EV betting tool?

There is no single best one; it depends on budget and how you bet. OddsJam has the widest stated coverage, OddsShopper lets you build your own +EV strategy, Unabated gives you its own fair line, Crazy Ninja Odds is free, and TrueEdge bundles +EV with arbitrage and promo conversion for $79.99 a month.

Is there a free +EV betting tool?

Yes. Crazy Ninja Odds publishes a +EV page that opens without an account, with optional supporter tiers. The paid tools here offer 7-day free trials, except Unabated, which offers a 14-day money-back guarantee on its monthly plans.

How do +EV betting tools find their edges?

They remove the bookmaker's margin from the sharpest prices to get a fair price, then list bets at other books paying more than that fair price. The difference, as a percentage, is the expected value.

Which +EV tools include live betting?

OddsShopper Pro ($149.95 a month), TrueEdge Live ($299.99) and OddsJam Live Arbitrage & EV ($499.99 after the first month) sell in-play +EV. Unabated lists in-game betting tools on Premium.

Do +EV tools work with Kalshi and Polymarket?

Some do. OddsJam and TrueEdge both name Kalshi and Polymarket, and TrueEdge includes each venue's fees in its prices. Crazy Ninja Odds includes Kalshi, Novig and ProphetX.

Is +EV betting profitable?

Over many bets, consistently taking prices better than fair should come out ahead, but any single bet can lose, results swing for a long time, and sportsbooks limit accounts that win. Track closing line value to see whether your edges are real.
