Privacy Policy

TrueEdge is operated by TrueEdgeOdds LLC. This policy explains what we collect when you use the TrueEdge website, mobile app and browser extension, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.

TrueEdge is a sports odds comparison and analytics service. We are not a sportsbook. We do not accept wagers, hold funds, or process bets.

What we collect

Account information. When you sign in we receive your name, email address and profile image from your chosen sign-in provider. Authentication is handled by Clerk; we do not see or store your sign-in provider password.

Billing information. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Stripe holds your card details. We store only your subscription status, plan, and invoice history — never your full card number.

Bets you record. If you use the bet tracker, we store the wagers you log manually, import from a sportsbook's own export file, or sync through the browser extension, together with their prices, stakes and outcomes.

Which sportsbooks you hold. Marking a book as "linked" is a declaration that you have an account there. It filters what the product shows you. It does not connect us to that account.

Devices and notifications. We store a label for each device that signs in, so you can manage your device slots, and — if you enable alerts — a push notification token for that device.

Product usage. We record a small set of first-party events (for example, that a pricing page was viewed or an upgrade prompt was clicked) to understand which features lead people to subscribe. These are sent to our own servers. We do not embed third-party advertising or analytics scripts.

Support correspondence. If you email us, we keep the message and our reply.

What we do not collect

We never ask for, receive, or store your sportsbook passwords. Where TrueEdge reads your wager history automatically, it does so in a browser or in-app view where you are already signed in to that sportsbook yourself. Those credentials are entered into the sportsbook's own page and stay on your device. They are never sent to us and we could not use them if they were.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

How we use it

To operate your account and subscription; to show you odds, edges and analytics filtered to the books you hold; to settle and report on the bets you track; to send the alerts you ask for; to answer support requests; to detect abuse; and to understand which parts of the product are worth building on.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf and only on our instructions: Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), Amazon Web Services (hosting and databases, in the United States), and Expo and Apple (delivery of push notifications, if you enable them).

We may disclose information where we are legally required to, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

Links to sportsbooks

TrueEdge links out to third-party sportsbooks and exchanges. Once you follow one of those links you are on that operator's own website or app, under their privacy policy and their terms, and anything you do there — including placing a wager — is between you and them.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. Billing records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require.

You can delete your account and everything in it at any time. Email support@trueedgeodds.com from the address on your account, or delete it yourself in the iPhone app under More › Settings › Account. Either way your account, your tracked bets, your linked-book declarations, your devices and your notification tokens are destroyed, and any active subscription is cancelled.

Deleting in the app cancels the subscription straight away and then leaves the account restorable for 30 days: sign in within that window and everything comes back. After it, the data is destroyed and nobody — including us — can recover it. Deletions requested by email are completed within 30 days and confirmed when they are done.

Here is what survives a deletion, and nothing else does.

Your betting data, de-identified. The bets you tracked, the prices you got and how they settled stay with us, with your name, email address and account removed and replaced by a meaningless reference. We use it to measure whether the product actually works — which books pay out, which markets carry an edge, how our numbers compare with what really happened. Once your identity is gone it is no longer information about you, and it can never be linked back to you or shown to anyone as yours. This is disclosed when you create an account and again, twice, before a deletion goes through.

To stop the free trial being taken twice. The free trial is one per customer and is worth deleting an account and signing up again for, so we keep three things that make a repeat recognisable and cannot be turned back into your details: a one-way hash of your email address, a record that the account had a trial or had paid, and the anonymous fingerprint of any card used to start one — a number our payment processor derives from the card, which is not a card number and cannot be turned into one.

So that we cannot email you again. Your address stays on our do-not-email list, in readable form, marked unsubscribed. Deleting it would let the next sync add the address back from another source and start mailing somebody who left. Suppression lists work by remembering the address; that is the whole mechanism.

Records that are not only about you. Money owed to someone who referred you or who is an affiliate, the ledger of which campaign reached which address, and our record of any action our support team took on your account. Those are somebody else’s financial and audit records as much as yours, and we keep them for as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Everything else goes. Your sign-in, your email address on the account, your linked sportsbook connections and their credentials, your devices and your notification tokens are deleted outright.

If you are a TrueEdge affiliate, the in-app button does not apply to you: closing an affiliate account ends a partner agreement with commission, payout and tax records attached, so we do it ourselves. Email us and we will handle it.

You can also ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, at the same address.

Age

TrueEdge is intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on access- controlled infrastructure in the United States. No system is perfect, but we limit what we collect in the first place, which is the most reliable protection available.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects you, tell you directly.

Questions about privacy go to support@trueedgeodds.com.
